The New York Islanders are back in action tonight as they face the best team in hockey in the Boston Bruins. Puck drop is slated for 7 PM at TD Garden.

There’s no question the Islanders need to add a goal scorer prior to or at this year’s trade deadline. One player that should be on New York’s radar just declined the latest contract offer from his team in Bo Horvat, per Rick Dhaliwal. The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun also added that the Canucks offered Horvat the contract a few weeks ago and. nowthe focus is the trade market for Horvat, who is fourth in the NHL in scoring.

The New York Islanders could soon be getting sharpshooter Kyle Palmieri back in the lineup, as after a nine-game absence, he rejoined the group for Monday’s practice. Although we do not know if he will play Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins, we do know that he is making the trip, a five-game road trip: New York Islanders.

Boston Hockey Now: After Bruce Cassidy and the Vegas Golden Knights got the win in Cassidy’s return to Boston, the Bruins got even as they beat the Knights 3-1 on Sunday night:  Boston Bruins.

Vegas Hockey Now: According to the NHL’s Media Site, Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel has been placed on injured reserve, and defenseman Zach Whitecloud has been placed on long-term injured reserve: Vegas Golden Knights.

San Jose Hockey Now: James Reimer is back. This afternoon, the San Jose Sharks activated Reimer from Injured Reserve. In a corresponding move, they sent down rookie Eetu Makiniemi. Reimer and Kaapo Kahkonen will start tomorrow night against the Arizona Coyotes at SAP Center: San Jose Sharks.
