Washington Hockey Now: Going into Tuesday’s matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals, all eyes were on Alex Ovechkin. And he put on quite the show. Ovechkin scored a historic hat trick to hit 800 goals, and the Capitals steamrolled the Blackhawks, 7-3.:Â Washington Capitals.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Pittsburgh Penguins won’t have defenseman Jeff Petry for a while. He has been placed on the Long-Term Injured list, retroactive to Sunday, and must be out for at least 10 games and 24 days.  Pittsburgh Penguins.

Vegas Hockey Now: Another road game and another win as the Vegas Golden Knights (20-9-1, 41 points) defeated the Winnipeg Jets (18-8-1, 37 points) 6-5 on Tuesday. Without key players in their lineup, Mark Stone, Chandler Stephenson, and Jonathan Marchessault upped their game and got the VGK a win. Defensemen Daniil Miromanov scored three points, including his first NHL goal: Vegas Golden Knights.
San Jose Hockey Now: Scott Wedgewood and Akira Schmid put on a show at the Rock in an intense goalie duel Tuesday night, with the Dallas Stars coming out on top of the New Jersey Devils 4-1: Dallas Stars.
