Patrice Bergeron Announces Retirement:
After a spectacular 19-year career, six-time Selke Trophy winner Patrice Bergeron announced his retirement from the NHL on Tuesday.
Islanders Still Awaiting Decision From Parise:
As the Bruins did with Bergeron, the New York Islanders are patiently awaiting a decision from Zach Parise. However, they’re not in a position to wait much longer.
Parise’s impending decision is one of the last questions the Islanders have remaining this offseason. Earlier this week, I took the time to answer some of yours in my latest mailbag.
Blackhawks Chairman Rocky Wirtz Passes Away:
Rocky Wirtz, the longtime chairman of the Chicago Blackhawks, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 70. Wirtz took the helm of the Blackhawks in 2007 and oversaw the franchise’s reascension in the NHL and the Chicago sports landscape.
