Bo Horvat, Islanders Fans Amped For His Home Debut
After making his New York Islanders debut Monday night against the Philadelphia Flyers and showing well, Bo Horvat is amped up to play in front of the Islanders faithful at UBS Arena Tuesday night when they host the Seattle Kraken.
“Probably the same amount of nerves and butterflies playing in front of the home crowd for the first time,” Horvat said. “It’s going to be exciting. I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve only played in the building once, but on the away side of it, so I’m excited to be on the home side of it.”

It’s going to be great. I think they’re all excited, as they should be,” Mathew Barzal said. “We got a great player, and I’m sure he’s going to have a lot of great moments at UBS.”
Head coach Lane Lambert knows Horvat will be just fine.
“He’s a professional. I think he’ll handle it just fine,” Lambert said. “Our fans are great. And it’s going to be exciting to get in front of them. They always give us a boost, and certainly, coming in into a back-to-back, we’re going to need that. So we’re looking forward to getting home.”
New York Islanders fans were ecstatic for his homecoming.
“Just watching him one time as an Islander, you can see the type of player he is,” Twitter user FTtocs9914 said. “He brings a ton of things to the table besides goal-scoring. Leadership, defensive awareness, face-offs, good on the power play. He’s just a really good complete center. We knew that, happy to have him.”
Gare Media said, “So unbelievably pumped. He’s scoring tonight book it.”
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Horvat scoring a goal, which would set a new career high at 32, is +150.
