Pardon the Mess, NYI Hockey is Remodeling

Hello NYI Hockey Now readers,

The website and National Hockey Now are undergoing some changes. Some changes were voluntary, some not, as the landscape is changing.

First, regrettably, our previous beat writer took a job with the national competition. We invested a lot of time and resources in our young writers’ careers, but not every home is a forever home. Even as we establish a national footprint, we’re still a small company, and there will be some bumps and bruises along the way.

We plan to build on the large base of Islanders’ content with more. We’re looking to add some hockey Xs and Os, too.

We’ve interviewed a couple of big-name candidates that I know you already follow. We have a couple more interviews lined up. We’re hopeful we can make it work for you and do it quickly.

We’ll provide Islanders news, summaries, and updates as they fend off the Pittsburgh Penguins and Florida Panthers.

It’s not an ideal position for a news site to be in this late in the season, but with all adversity, there exists opportunity, which we will maximize.

And maybe, just maybe, we’ll enjoy an Islanders playoff run together.
