Good morning; my name is Andrew Fantucchio. It’s Friday, August 25, and here’s what I’m focused on around the NHL today.

Islanders Bolduc and Gauthier Team Up For the Summer:

Samuel Bolduc and Julien Gauthier of the New York Islanders teamed up this summer in the Living Sisu Hockey League, which should help as both players prepare for a big season ahead.

Oilers Bring Back Bouchard:

The Edmonton Oilers reached an agreement with restricted free agent defenseman Evan Bouchard on a two-year contract worth $3.9 million per season.

Bouchard, 23, is entering his fifth NHL season this year. Last year, Bouchard recorded 40 points with eight goals for the Oilers.

Flyers AGM Gives Update On Status of Team’s Rebuild:

Philadelphia Flyers assistant general manager Alyn McCauley gave an update on the team’s rebuild in a recent interview.
