The only rescheduled game forced another postponement, bringing the Islanders season total to six. There is no date for the previously scheduled contest between the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Islanders that was slated for Jan. 18.
The swapping of venues for a game on Jan. 22 and Apr. 17 was a necessary move due to the rules and regulations in Canada due to COVID-19.
The NHL also announced that a contest on Jan. 18 between the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
