Good morning and welcome to Friday. The New York Islanders are back in action as they host the Nashville Predators at 7:30 PM. The game is an ESPN+/Hulu exclusive. The Islanders had won their previous four contests before struggling against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. The Islanders did not hold a morning skate on Friday, as head coach Lane Lambert will speak with the media around 4:45.

NYI Hockey Now: The New York Islanders were busy on Thursday, as with players still hurt, two new faces joined the NHL roster in Hudson Fasching and Cole Bardreau. General manager Lou Lamoriello met with the media to provide updates on the injuries while also explaining his call-up decisions.  New York Islanders.

Detroit Hockey Now: The Detroit Red Wings placed Tyler Bertuzzi on injured reserve Thursday with a hand injury and recalled Austin Czarnik from the Grand Rapids Griffins. Detroit Red Wings.

Florida Hockey Now: Three goals within a span of 59 seconds was the difference for the Florida Panthers as they snapped a three-game slide with a 5-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks. Florida Panthers.

Vegas Hockey Now: The Vegas Golden Knights have traded minor league defenseman Zack Hayes to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for future considerations. The deal was announced Wednesday afternoon by Golden Knight’s general manager Kelly McCrimmon. Vegas Golden Knights.
