PHOENIX, AZ– After a disappointing 5-4 loss the Arizona Coyotes on Friday night, the New York Islanders (17-13-1_ are back in action as they face the Vegas Golden Knights (22-9-1). Puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM PST at T-Mobile Arena.

Semyon Varlamov will get the start as Ilya Sorokin played Friday night.

Late in the contest against the Coyotes, Kyle Palmieri was hit up high by Nick Ritchie, forcing him into concussion protocol. He did return to the contest, and he is expected to play tonight.

Forward Cal Clutterbuck left the contest in the third and did not return.

Defenseman Alexander Romanov blocked a shot off the no-no area and was helped off the ice. He stayed in the game but did receive medical treatment following as we do not yet know his status for the game.

On the Vegas side of things, Logan Thompson will get the start in goal. The Islanders will be facing a right-glove netminder for the second straight contest after facing Karel Vejmelka on Friday.

Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo will return to the lineup after missing significant time due to personal reasons.

Jack Eichel and Brett Howden are eligible to return from their injuries (lower body), but they will not play.
