Things have never been tighter for the Islanders as the team finds itself jockeying for position in the East Division. The Islanders are tied with the Pittsburgh Penguins for second in the East with the Boston Bruins nipping at their heels just three points away in third.

Oh yeah, and the Islanders’ biggest rival, the New York Rangers, are still very much in the playoff picture as well.

Naturally, the Islanders have seen their goal-scoring production taper off during the final weeks of the season, but despite that, they’ve still managed to get points. What’s the playoff picture look like, Mathew Barzal’s offensive drought and more in the NYHN Dail.
