MONTREAL, QC–The New York Islanders will not have to wait over a month and a half before they play a game at UBS Arena in 2022-23. The Islanders, who started the 2021-22 season with 13 straight games on the road before their brand new home at Belmont Park was ready, begin 2022-23 on home ice.

Here is the full 2022-23 schedule for the New York Islanders:

They will actually have four straight at home to start the season with the home opener against the Florida Panthers on Oct. 13 at 7:30 PM.  The next three games are Oct. 15 against the Anaheim Ducks (7:30 PM), Oct. 18 against the San Jose Sharks (7:30 PM), and Oct. 20 against the New Jersey Devils (7:30 PM).

The New York Islanders first game on the road is against the rival Tampa Bay Lightning on Oct 22.

The first cross-town rivalry game against the New York Rangers kicks off at UBS Arena on Oct. 26, at 7:30 PM. The Islanders are then at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 8 and Dec. 22.

The Islanders head to the campus of Arizona State for their first meeting against the Arizona Coyotes at their college barn on Dec. 14.

The Islanders end their season at home against the Montreal Canadiens.

After a season in which it seemed that the New York Islanders were on the road so much (only 41 obviously), this upcoming season the longest road trip for the Islanders is a five-game span from Dec. 13 through Dec. 22 against Boston, Arizona, Vegas, Colorado, & the Rangers.
