Potential Roster, Updates Ahead of Preseason Contest Against Flyers

The Islanders lines, notes and matchups for Game 7 with the Flyers

East Meadow, NY–The New York Islanders held a practice Sunday morning ahead of their preseason contest against the Philadelphia Flyers. Puck drop is slated for 7 PM at UBS Arena.

The group that will play Sunday did not take the ice, but the remaining players did. The group on the ice was as followed, which allows us to assume (we know what happens when you assume) who will play Sunday night.

That leaves these players as possible players for tonight’s contest:

 

Potential Forward Lines: 

Parise-Barzal-Palmieri
Lee-Nelson-Beauvillier
Bailey-Pageau-Holmstrom
Soshnikov-Räty-Clutterbuck

*Oliver Wahlstrom played in each of the last two preseason games.

Defensive Pairings: 

Romanov-Dobson
Salo, Mayfield
Helgeson-Hutton

Goaltenders:

Varlamov
Skarek

Philadelphia Flyers Roster:

Also per Sam Carchidi of Philadelphia Hockey Now, goaltender Carter Hart (unavailable) will not play against the New York Islanders tonight. The team expects him to make his preseason debut Tuesday when the Flyers host the Islanders.

Personnel Updates:

Following Sunday’s skate, New York Islanders head coach Lane Lambert shared that everyone besides Isaiah George is available. Samuel Bolduc has not skated with the team since Sept. 24. Ruslan Iskhakov did not skate this morning, but did miss practice on Saturday.
