Islanders Showcase 50th Season Patch, No Ads To Speak Of
The New York Islanders and the other 31 NHL teams were in Vegas for NHL Media Day on Thursday. And with media day comes glamorous jersey pictures, interviews, and more.
Representing the Islanders at Media Day was captain Anders Lee and star Mathew Barzal.
With this being the 50th anniversary of the New York Islanders, the organization had previously shared a picture of their “50th Anniversary” logo. But for the first time on Thursday, fans could see what the logo looked like on the Islanders’ blue home jersey.

Islanders captain Anders Lee posed in the jersey for the cameras, showcasing a nice, clean look for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
For the many wondering what company the New York Islanders would be donning on their sweaters, with other teams already showing off their advertisements, many fans will be happy to know that, as of now, the Islanders jerseys are add-less.

The Islanders sported the “UBS” logo on their helmets during the 2021-22 season with the grand opening of UBS Arena. Their helmet ads are expected to remain the same for the 2022-23 season since UBS Arena is not going anywhere anytime soon; Neither are the Islanders.
No, we do not yet have a visual on the Reverse Retro jersey. Sources told Ali Murji that Adidas would be releasing them on Oct. 20, with teasers coming out a day earlier, on Oct. 19.
Murji has been on top of the Reverse Retro jersey game, so we shall see if those dates hold.

New Information on New York Islanders Fisherman Reverse Retro Jersey
It’s an important season for the New York Islanders fan base, especially the older generation of fans who witnessed the team come into existence in 1972 and then win four consecutive Stanley Cups from 1980-1983.
The New York Islanders open the regular season on home ice but will play four preseason games starting Sept. 25 against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
That will be the first game where the New York Islanders faithful can see the 50th-anniversary logo in person or on television.
