New York Islanders did not skate Sunday morning.
New York Islanders head coach Barry Trotz stated that nemtinder Ilya Sorokin was unavailable but has made good progress. The expectation is that he will play during the upcoming road trip.

The New York Islanders have won three straight contests and have outscored their opponents 12-3.
The New Jersey Devils collapsed on Saturday, as they blew a 6-2 lead to the Florida Panthers and then lost in overtime 7-6.

Andrew Hammond was in-between the pipes for that game, so it is likely that netminder Nico Daws is tasked with stopping the Islanders.
In the loss, New Jersey Devils forward Yegor Sharangovich netted a hat trick.
The New York Islanders have four players who have played for the New Jersey Devils in Zach Parise, Kyle Palmieri, Andy Greene, and Cory Schneider.
