New York Islanders Interested in Bringing in Zach Parise and Ryan Suter
The New York Islanders have an interest in both Zach Parise and Ryan Suter.
Lou Lamoriello is looking to bring in the two former Minnesota WIld players, according to Larry Brooks and Joe Pantorno. Last week NYI Hockey Now reported first that sources indicated a deal between the Islanders and Parise was all but set to happen and that chatter indicated he was trying to bring Suter along with him.
Both players would come to Long Island at a significantly lower price to fill gaps that the New York Islanders need to address. With the trade of Nick Leddy, Suter would help fill the hole left by his departure as a second or third pair defenseman and Parise would fit well on the Islanders’ third line alongside Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
NHL Free Agency begins July 28 at noon.
