Rosner Wrap: Chat with Hockey Night New York, Whitney Endorsement
For those that listen to the Spittin Chiclet’s podcast, you are aware that former NHLer Ryan Whitney is not too fond of the New York Islanders or the fan base. But on Monday, he came out and said that the New York Islanders 2021-22 season was a one-off and that they are “going to be a team to be reckoned with this season.”
“The Islanders are going to be a team to be reckoned with this season.”
Last year the Islanders were dealt some shit cards. Get ready for a comeback season.

Some believe this was Whitney trolling the New York Islanders faithful, but to me, it sounds like he truly believes it. It’s essentially what New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello insinuated when he spoke with the media back on Monday, that the 2021-22 season was just a bad year and that he believes in this group.
On Tuesday night, prior to playing hockey, I joined former boss man Christian Arnold and the great Sean Cuthbert on their podcast Hockey Night in New York. I spoke on what went wrong with Nazem Kadri, the concern level heading into the regular season, and why people should stop complaining about Lamoriello when he talks at press conferences.
👋U up? @stefen_rosner joined @seanyhockey & @C_Arnold01 to cover the surprise twist in the Kadri Saga, RFA+depth signings & Lou's eternal struggle to add offense in the summer. Listen: https://t.co/Dk4x6vC7S1 @RJDanielsRVC @Bluelinedeli719 @TIETECHNOLOGY1 @OysterBayBrewin #Isles
