ESPN, Turner Sports Announce NHL TV Schedule, Islanders Appearances

On Wednesday, ESPN and Turner Sports announced their television schedule for the 2022-23 NHL season. ESPN will handle the opening night workload, with the Tampa Bay Lightning facing off against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 PM ET, followed by the Vegas Golden Knights in Los Angeles Against the Kings at 10:00 PM ET.
ESPN will also carry the NHL All-Star Skills Competition (Feb. 3) with their family network on ABC and ESPN+ covering the All-Star Game (Feb. 4). The first set of Stadium Series games will debut on ESPN and ESPN+ when the Washington Capitals head to Carolina to face the Hurricanes on Feb. 18.
The New York Islanders will play eight games on ESPN and their family of networks:

As for Turner Sports, their coverage of the NHL season kicks off with the Washington Capitals’ home opener against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7 PM followed by the Chicago Blackhawks at the Colorado Avalanche at 9:30 PM.
Turner Sports will host two doubleheaders, one on Nov. 8 when the Edmonton Oilers battle the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 PM followed by the Nashville Predators at the Seattle Kraken at 10 PM. And then on Black Friday, Nov. 25, as the Pittsburgh Penguins play the Philadelphia Flyers at 5:30 PM followed by the St. Louis Blues at the Tampa Bay Lightning at 8 p.m.
NHL on TNT will also host the 2023 Discover NHL Winter Classic between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Boston Bruins on Monday, Jan. 2 at Fenway Park.
The New York Islanders play three games on TNT in 2022-23, the first against the New York Rangers:
