New York Islanders
Reverse Retro Night, Gm 29: Islanders vs. Hurricanes, Line Combos, Betting Odds & More
Less than 24 hours after holding off the New Jersey Devils for a 6-4 win at The Rock, the New York Islanders host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. The Islanders will be debuting their Fisherman Reverse Retro uniform, with puck drop slated at 7:30 PM At UBS Arena.
The New York Islanders did not skate Saturday morning, but with Semyon Varlamov getting the start in goal on Friday night, Ilya Sorokin will get the nod for New York.
On the injury front, Cal Clutterbuck should be good to go after being head-butted in Friday’s win, leading to him missing most of the first period and returning with a bloody face and a full cage.
Anthony Beauvillier, who left in the first period with what seemed to be a lower-body injury, did not return, and head coach Lane Lambert had no update on his status following the game. We will try to get an update today.
If Beauvilier cannot go Saturday, it is likely that Hudson Fasching gets back in the lineup. He had a goal back in Tuesday’s 7-4 loss to the St. Louis Blues and has played a strong, responsible game over his three contests with New York.
On the Hurricanes’ side of things, Sebastian Aho will not play as he is dealing with a lower-body injury. Antti Raanta is expected to get the start in goal.

The Islanders enter tonight’s game on the back end of their fifth back-to-back series of the season after they defeated New Jersey last night on the road.
