Bo Horvat Suffers Injury; Leaves Team Canada Early

The New York Islanders’ season of injuries seemed to be over. Then, Bo Horvat and Noah Dobson went to the World Championships to play for Team Canada.
Unfortunately for the Islanders and Horvat, he’s suffered a lower-body injury. Team Canada announced this morning he would not finish the tournament and his place taken by Porter Martone.
The Islanders just released the following statement:

A major injury to Horvat, right on the cusp of the offseason, would be an unmitigated disaster for New York. The Islanders were intentionally vague with the timeline, and it could be something minor.
Mathew Barzal continues to recover from a season-ending injury sustained in the winter. Other players, like Anthony Duclair and Ryan Pulock, continue to nurse and rehab injuries they played through down the stretch.
For now, all the Islanders and their fans can do is hold their breaths on Horvat’s status.
