Report: Islanders to play Rangers at MetLife Stadium
The New York Islanders are returning to the outdoors this upcoming season.
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it has been reported the Islanders will face the New York Rangers at MetLife Stadium as part of the NHL’s Stadium Series sometime next February.
I’m told the NHL is going to host 2 Stadium Series games next season in February 2024 at MetLife Stadium on back-to-back days involving 4 teams: Devils/Flyers and Isles/Rangers

The matchup will be one of two back-to-back games at MetLife, with the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers also taking the ice in the Meadowlands. Along with the two games, an outdoor concert is also expected to be a part of the festivities.
This will be the Islanders’ second-ever outdoor game, with the last being on Jan. 29, 2014, a 2-1 loss to the Rangers at Yankee Stadium.
