Islanders Game 7: In Jersey to Face the Devils; Lineups, How To Watch
The New York Islanders (2-2-2) will travel to Newark, NJ, on Friday night to take on the New Jersey Devils (5-4-1). This is the first half of a back-to-back for the Islanders, who will also face the Florida Panthers tomorrow night in UBS Arena. It’s also the first Metropolitan Division game for the Islanders on the season.
The Devils enter having lost their game last night in Detroit to the Red Wings, 5-3. Since returning from Prague, the Devils have gone just 3-4-1, and frustration is growing. Jake Allen will all but assuredly tend the net for the Devils after Jacob Markstrom got the nod last night.
The Islanders enter after getting shutout for a third time on Tuesday night against those same Red Wings. It’s an early-season big game for the Metropolitan Division foes. Both squads really could use the win.
