New York Islanders
Islanders Game 4: Sorokin in Net; Lineups, Notes, & How to Watch
The New York Islanders’ road trip concludes in St. Louis tonight at 8 when they take on the Blues in the Enterprise Center. The Islanders enter after two days off following a convincing 6-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night.
The Islanders, 1-1-1, look to build off the momentum built up in Colorado. Only four players have yet to register a point for the blue and orange: Casey Cizikas, Kyle MacLean, Oliver Wahlstrom, and Mike Reilly. A continued balanced attack from the top three lines only helps the team as a whole. Ilya Sorokin starts his second consecutive game in the net after a sparkling performance in Colorado.
The Blues enter 2-2-0 and currently are on a two-game losing streak. Most recently, the Blues got put down by the Minnesota Wild 4-1 on Tuesday night. That game also served as the Blues’ home opener.
Former Islander Nick Leddy will not play tonight due to a lower-body injury.
