When it comes to the New York Islander, all is quiet on the western front.

The New York Islanders remain in a holding pattern as they try to clear cap space to re-sign restricted free agents Ryan Pulock and Mathew Barzal, as well as sign some unrestricted free agents. NYI Hockey now made the case for the Islanders to take a look at UFA forward Anthony Duclair once they have navigated their cap crunch.

The case could be made that the New York Islanders already have the pieces in place within the organization that would help them improve upon their run to the Eastern Conference Finals. Andrew Battifarano examines who the Islanders could look to internally to take that next step.
